HISTORY
In 1962, Phlippo Showlights sees the day as the first specialised lighting company in Belgium. Already shortly after establishment the firm acquires national fame with the magnificent lighting "Het Heilig Bloedspel" by the father of Phlippo Showlights, Jos. After some years son Marc takes over. The tenth anniversary of the African republic Congo in the seventies places Phlippo once and for all on the international map and ensures in the mean time its first large international breakthrough.
In the eighties the industry takes a fast flight by many new developments on technological area. Phlippo takes these challenges and as a result it's rapidly seen as most innovative company within the audiovisual industry. As official subcontractor of the World Exposition in Lisbon '98 the company finally takes part in the top segment of the international industry. In the meantime grandson Tom specialises himself in the sound industry. He also provides this segment with products with Phlippo-label.
In 2003, Marc's children take over the torch once again and in spring 2004 they are reinforced by an externally attracted manager who spends a thorough restructuring. The dynamic and young team prepares the company to withstand to the future challenges. Today, Phlippo is a quality label on different markets, which situate themselves around the core-business of the original company. To be able to meet the ever growing requirements of its clients, the company is at present subdivided in 3 divisions which each specialise separately in its own segment of business: Rental/Sales/Productions.
